Forgive the crossposting, but I really need some help.
My husband, who is the sweetest, goofiest guy imaginable, and shy to boot, is having a problem at work. When he got hired at this company, four years ago, he got a job that several people wanted. And it did make it difficult for him to have been hired from the outside for a job that current employees wanted to have. He's the kind of guy who keeps himself to himself, but it hasn't stopped making him a target for gossip and spite.
We're heavily involved with the BDSM community, and unfortunately, someone in our community felt the need to "out" him as a submissive. This of course made a field day for the gossip network, and his feelings were horribly hurt. But he did his best to ignore it, and went on about his business. He's very good at what he does, and upper management seems to love him. His problem is the gossip and spite.
Here is what I've done so far:
Blessed a plant (and empowered it with sex magic) so that people who wish him ill feel uncomfortable in the area where the plant is, and he feels calmer and more centered around the plant. (Unfotunately, this can only apply to his cube. he can't take a plant or anything else into the lab.)
Given him an empowered Ganesh statuette for success at work.
Cast reflecting spells on the worst gossips so that anything they say will reflect badly on them with management. (This has resulted in one finding another job, and another getting a week off without pay.)
I'm running out of ideas and ways to fight back without getting malevolent. Unfotunately, the guy who got a week off seems to be blaming my husband for his unscheduled vacation and working harder to start trouble between my husband and a person who was recently hired to start a new division where my husband wants to work. He's been spreading rumors that indicate that my husband runs to HR if anyone offends him. (Not true at all. He didn't complain to HR even when he was outed as being kinky.)
Anyone got any ideas for spells, charms, or what not that I am missing?
I'm good at this, but I'm getting so angry (I know, not a good place to practice from) that I'm considering taking the advice of the lady I buy herbs from (a hoo doo woman) and do something really nasty.

Tue, January 2, 2007 - 11:07 AMtry a binding spell (sometimes using poppet magick) for those gossips, this will keep their mouths shut!
also try a justice spell, this will right the wrongs. only do a justice spell if you know for sure you are totally without fault for all the problems that have been caused.
i hesitate from giving exact instructions on spells as i feel they are very personal , but any half way decent spell book will have a couple listed that can give you ideas on forming your own.

Wed, January 3, 2007 - 10:55 AMHe's totally faultless here. His only sin is that he's not political and he doesn't have a lot of tact. He would be thrilled if someone showed him a flaw in one of his methods and suggested something to improve it, so he expects others to feel the same way. Dumb, I know. But he doesn't realize that. For him, it's all about doing the best that can be done. He's the nicest guy I have ever met. Truly thinks the best of everyone until they demonstrate that he's wrong. Even then, he tries to come up with nicer motivations for them. Basically, he wants to be left alone to do his job. He has no interest in being put in charge of a department. (Which *I* think is one of the fears of the gossips. If they had any sense, they'd realize that he'd be a disaster as a department head because all he wants to do is play with the pretty lab toys. He's perfectly happy where he is, though when they open the new division with newer and different lab toys, he wants to play THERE. But that's because it's new toys. He wants a lateral transfer, not more responsibility.) He got hired in this place because the company he was working for lost their funding and laid off most ofl their research staff. One of the executives at this company had worked with him before and called him and offered him a job that HAD been going to be filled internally until he became available. We think part of the gossip is directed at bringing down this executive.
He got a stellar job performance review from his boss and even most of his co-workers. (Except for, you guessed it, the gossips, and their closest friends.) He'd be happy as a clam if it weren't for the harmful gossip. It really hurts his feelings. He stresses about it much more than most of us would.
I've never heard of a justice spell, could you tell me more of what you have in mind?

Tue, January 2, 2007 - 4:57 PMI was going to suggeset a binding spell as well... however another one is a reflective spell using mirrors with words on the back of them. I used this one after we had to let an employee go. He has been very negative and abusive and is also a magical practitioner. We pasted words of warding on the back of several very small mirrors and placed them all about the store. Perhaps you can add one to your plant.
