Do you order most of your supplies online or do you have a nice little local shop?

Thu, May 15, 2008 - 3:48 AMa bit of both for me!
not to mention just gleaning what comes along - in the fields at the farm, on a walk through the forest or even on urban streets on the way to work.

Re: ordering supplies
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 6:00 AMThere is a local shop I go to on occassion, but, for the most part, my "supplies" grow naturally in the backyard and beyond. I went online many years ago and spent about $35 and purchased a ton of different herb seeds and grew my own in my greenhouse. By harvesting the herbs as well as the seeds, I have not yet had to spend anymore.

Re: ordering supplies
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 9:19 AMLucky Mojo is in the Village where I live. And when I get to Berkeley, I always enjoy a "field trip" to Ancient Ways. Where I live it's all woods and ivy and no place to put an herb garden. We have to keep the ivy in place to keep the banks from eroding. And it's too dark here to grow herbs. (I live up in the woods above the Russian River. No one has yards: it's too steep. It's all decks.)

Re: ordering supplies
Sun, June 22, 2008 - 2:16 PMHello all,
I order some online, grow a bit here and am very lucky to get many plants from my mother who lives in the country and has about an acre of gardens!
Oddly enough, the company where my husband works (a chemical distribution company, of all things!) is a great source for supplies at wholesale prices (I get all the ingredients for my bath bombs here...)
